My ELA students have a full
plate of work and activities these last two weeks of the 2nd 6 weeks!
10th
grade
students will be working on a collective digital presentation, taking elements
of the short story “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” by F. Scott Fitzgerald
and giving it a bit of a modern twist. Students will use their creative writing
skills to bring this technical and visual effort to fruition.
10th
grade Pre-AP students continue to tackle the work of Fyodor
Dostoevsky and prepare as well to complete their final essay focusing on the
character of the “Underground an” and his views on society.
7th
and 8th graders are using the imagery from “The Legend
of Sleepy Hollow (7th) and The Pearl (8th) to bring these
highly descriptive stories into three dimensional view as a part of their final
project. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and merge it with art
and technology to make their dioramas come to life.
All students should be working
diligently on their final creative writing assignment DUE November 13th . Students have been given
the challenge to re-write their favorite part of the short stories or novellas
we have been reading in class. The ideas so far have been amazing so look for
posts of their writings on the Warrior Outstanding Work Page of this blog.
