Greetings Wonderful Newman Parents!
We have had a fulfilling three weeks in ELA-R.
My 7th,
8th and 10th grade classes have thoroughly reviewing the summer reading novels and have advanced to presentation and discussions about
character, theme, plot and setting of each story.
We wrapped up the 3rd week of the weeks by taking an writing
and editing quiz based on our daily STAAR Starters (bell ringers) where we flex
our brain “muscle” and sharpen our revise and editing skills.
The next three weeks will focus on the Writing Process
and prepare for our first major essay. We will address the following:
REMINDER: Important September Dates for NIAA
