Greetings NIAA Parents!
Heading into 2nd Semester, we have as always a full schedule of class work and events.

          Asemic Art-featuring poetry

Week 3-6

Creative Non Fiction for Teens

HOMEWORK
Students will have 4 reading logs to complete this six weeks, the complete schedule of due dates are located on ClassJump. The purpose of reading logs is to 1. help further develop the reading fluency of all students, 2. hone research skills (knowing how to locate information via online sources will be a necessity for post-secondary education) and 3. build a sense of responsibility (being able to meet required deadlines is another necessary skill for post-secondary pursuits) and finally 4. keep abreast of what is going on both locally and internationally in our world.
I appreciate all of the parental encouragement my students have had thus far. Students awarded "current event quiz" prizes will have a homework pass for 1 reading log! Next current event quiz will be at the end of the 4th six weeks.
